“Financial Peace” by Dave Ramsey- Book Review

“Financial Peace” by Dave Ramsey! If you have read “The Total Money Makeover: A Proven Plan for Financial Fitness” by Dave Ramsey and want a more in depth plan for your family, read his book “Financial Peace Revisited“.  This is truly a perfect name for this book.  In it, Dave Ramsey goes into more detail about many of the subjects covered in “Total Money Makeover,” plus he adds extras like; insurance, being single/ married, buying a car or house, teaching your children good money habits, and much more.

Dave Ramsey has curriculum that is being taught in our local public school and in public and home schools everywhere.  My oldest son, Jacob, recently took a class at his High School, called “Money, Money, Money,” featuring Dave Ramsey’s curriculum.  The class taught the material from Dave’s book “Financial Peace Revisited.”  He loved it!  Jacob said he learned a lot of useful information he can use now and as an adult.  I highly recommend this course for all High School Students wanting to get a head start in life.  I wish they would have offered this when I was in High School.

Dave’s Motto: “Live Like No One Else, Later You Can Live Like No One Else.”  He truly covers all the bases on how to do just that in his books.

My husband and I are well on our way to having “Financial Peace ,” even in today’s tough economy.  We currently have no consumer debt, an emergency fund in place, a retirement plan, a college fund for all 6 of our children,  and we are on our way to paying off our mortgage.

This is a great book for anyone who wants to improve their financial situation.

I also highly recommend this book for young people just starting their life’s journey.  “Financial Peace Revisited” will help them get off to the right start.  It makes a great graduation gift.

Dave also has a companion planner for this book called “The Financial Peace Planner: A Step-by-Step Guide to Restoring Your Family’s Financial Health.”

7 Ways to Share a Bowl of Soup

I love the kind of days you can light a fire in the fireplace or have a bonfire and put on a big pot of soup to simmer and enjoy all day long. It brings about memories of gatherings we had when I was a child, when we all gathered together to share a bowl of soup.

Mango fruit leather has turned out to be one of my kids' favorites. The sugar is totally optional, but it makes it much sweeter and cuts the tartness. The post Mango Fruit Leather appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.

This Lemon Lime Soda Jelly is delicious. I added a fresh lemon and a fresh l fresh lime to the mix to give it a rich, tangy flavor. It will make you pucker, a little. The post Lemon Lime Soda Jelly appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.

Cream soda...do you like yours red or amber colored? I chose the amber colored version for my cream soda jelly. I like the flavor better. Plus, I added a teaspoon of vanilla, just for added vanilla goodness. The post Cream Soda Jelly appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.
