Strawberry-Banana Parfait

One of my favorite things to have for breakfast or a midday snack is a fruit-yogurt parfait.

I like to make them with all different kinds of fruit; peaches, bananas, strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, blueberries, and more.  Pick your favorite flavor of yogurt too!

This is one of my favorite combinations, a Strawberry-Banana Parfait.

My littlest son always says “more, more” when he sees me with one.

What you will need:

5-7 strawberries, sliced

1-2 large bananas, sliced

3/4 cup French Vanilla or Strawberry Organic Yogurt

A small handful of your favorite granola cereal, mine is Cascadian Farm Organic Dark Chocolate Almond Granola Cereal.  That’s a mouthful, but it’s delicious.  Chocolate and almonds in granola, yum!

Now, lets put it together:

Very simple, in a small bowl, layer the strawberries slices (about 2 berries worth), then the bananas (about 10 slices), then 1/3 of the yogurt. Do that 2 more times, then top with granola cereal.Sweet, healthy, and delicious!

I love the kind of days you can light a fire in the fireplace or have a bonfire and put on a big pot of soup to simmer and enjoy all day long. It brings about memories of gatherings we had when I was a child, when we all gathered together to share a bowl of soup.

  • Mango Fruit Leather
Mango fruit leather has turned out to be one of my kids' favorites. The sugar is totally optional, but it makes it much sweeter and cuts the tartness. The post Mango Fruit Leather appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.

  • Cream Soda Jelly
Cream soda...do you like yours red or amber colored? I chose the amber colored version for my cream soda jelly. I like the flavor better. Plus, I added a teaspoon of vanilla, just for added vanilla goodness. The post Cream Soda Jelly appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.
