Homemade Bread

Homemade Bread from Your Bread Machine!

Made in a bread machine, this homemade bread comes out perfect every time I make it.  Nothing beats the modern convenience of a bread machine.

Ingredients for Homemade Bread:
3 1/2 cups bread flour
2 teaspoons salt
3 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon wheat gluten powder (optional)
1 1/2 cups milk (or 3 tablespoons powdered milk and 1 1/2 cups water)
1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast

Instructions for Homemade Bread:
Place first 6 ingredients in your bread machine bread pan, put yeast in yeast dispenser and start the bread machine (I use the normal setting or “sandwich style” setting).

This recipe makes a 2 pound loaf.

Or follow your bread machine‘s instructions.

There is nothing like freshly homemade bread, so warm and delicious, my family loves it.  When I make a loaf of homemade bread at my house, it doesn’t last more than a meal.

7 Ways to Share a Bowl of Soup

I love the kind of days you can light a fire in the fireplace or have a bonfire and put on a big pot of soup to simmer and enjoy all day long. It brings about memories of gatherings we had when I was a child, when we all gathered together to share a bowl of soup.

Mango fruit leather has turned out to be one of my kids' favorites. The sugar is totally optional, but it makes it much sweeter and cuts the tartness. The post Mango Fruit Leather appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.

This Lemon Lime Soda Jelly is delicious. I added a fresh lemon and a fresh l fresh lime to the mix to give it a rich, tangy flavor. It will make you pucker, a little. The post Lemon Lime Soda Jelly appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.

Cream soda...do you like yours red or amber colored? I chose the amber colored version for my cream soda jelly. I like the flavor better. Plus, I added a teaspoon of vanilla, just for added vanilla goodness. The post Cream Soda Jelly appeared first on Mama’s Homestead.
